With the holidays just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to write some posts about gift ideas for engaged couples, newlyweds, and all other wedding peeps on the periphery!
One of my favorite types of gifts to give and receive at Christmastime are ornaments. Even for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, there are so many ornaments that are gorgeous year-round displays. I like to hang ornaments on my doors, in my car, and on display stands on my desk, dining room table, or wherever!
Every year at Christmas, my parents gave all three of their children at least one Christmas ornament. I realize now just how awesome of an idea that was, because Carter and I are buying our first Christmas tree this year, and I already have a whole collection of ornaments for our decorating delight!
Being the extra-special, extra-attentive boyfriend-turned-fiance-turned-hubby that he is, Carter picked up on our family tradition and bought me a stunning Christopher Radko ornament for Christmas last year! Not only did he pick up on the tradition, he picked up on the fact that I love Christopher Radko, I love weddings, and I love ornaments with sentiment! So he bought me this splendid specimen! Notice that the base of the chapel is a wedding cake . . . adorable.
The above photo was taken from the Christopher Radko web site, and it’s still available for purchase! So hurry on over and buy one for the wedding diva in your life! It’s called “Sweet Chapel,” so just type that in the search box and you’re all set!
I also like this “Claus ‘n’ Heart” ornament. How cute!
And tops on my personal Christmas wish list this year: Hallmark’s “Cinderella and Her Prince” ornament. Reminder — Disney fanatic/Cinderella wannabe here!
I got the above photo right from the Hallmark web site.
And of course, it’s always fun to find some unique ornaments at art and craft shows and cute, independent boutiques. I’ll keep you posted on what I find as I do my own holiday shopping! And please do spill your own great gift ideas!
